Digital banking app Revolut said it simplified the account setup process for refugees fleeing Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
The company said it hoped this would help those displaced by the invasion, many of whom have limited possessions and documents, to access their money quickly and easily.
The creation of an electronic money account in the EEA generally requires proof of a right to reside in Europe.
However, the company said it has relaxed this requirement.
He said Revolut will help those fleeing Ukraine access their money by linking the app to their Ukrainian bank account.
He said the standard account has no monthly fees and can be used to send or receive money as well as exchange currencies.
He added that the Revolut card can be used anywhere in the EEA and Ukraine, with a limit of €1,500 per day via outgoing bank transfer and Revolut peer-to-peer.
The company said friends and relatives already in Europe will also be able to transfer money to them quickly and securely, with fair usage limits applied.
It also waives a number of currency transfer fees to ensure there are no additional fees for those displaced by the invasion who exchange their Ukrainian hryvnia for another currency.
