Netflix has released a list of 40 anime titles that will be available to stream on its platform in 2022.
The titles were revealed at the AnimeJapan 2022 event, Variety reports.
The final season of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” will be one of 40 titles available to stream. The second season of “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045” will also be back.
During the event, Netflix also released previews, concept art, and casting announcements for some of the anime shows that will hit the streaming platform in 2022.
“Anime is one of the cornerstones of our investment in Japan, watched by nearly 90% of our members here last year. At the same time, interest in anime has grown in the world, and more than half of our members worldwide listened to it last year,” said Kohei Obara, director and anime creator at Netflix, according to Variety. “From diversifying our slate to returning fan favorites, we want to continue to expand our members’ discovery and love of anime, both in Japan and around the world with this next anime chapter on Netflix.”
