Google’s redesign for the “My Account” settings section on Android was disclosed during the testing phase, and the redesign with Material Design Theme is now live for all users. Besides showing various settings in your Google Account section, it also gives users an overview of their account activity.
You can check the redesign of the Google Account settings section by going to the Settings > Google > Google account to access the new layout, which now looks much cleaner. The home page features the Google Account profile image at the top, with your name and the active Google Account below. One can tap on the Google account to open a map from which they can quickly switch to another Google account.
There are four icons at the bottom of the page, Account, Search, Support, and Menu, which is simply a much better layout than the old layout. The home page provides a general overview of your Google Account and associated activities and recommendations such as privacy reviews, security issues, and storage settings, among others, in a map-like format.
At the top of the page in the Account section there are several subpages such as Personal informations, where you can edit your profile details and contact details.
Data and Personalization, Security, People and Sharing and Payments & subscriptions are the other subpages of the Account section where you can view and categorically change your Google Account settings with relative ease. Then there is the To look for section where you can easily discover any tool related to Google account that you cannot find in settings, while the Support The section hosts step-by-step guides and provides help on common issues via articles or connecting with experts.
The Menu The section is simply a collection of all the subpages available in the Account section. The new Material Design layout of Google account settings on mobile is now quite similar to the design of account settings on the web, which is very convenient for users.
